Things To Do Before Applying For Adsense To Ensure Approval

I think most of you will agree that Google Adsense is one of the best ways to monetize your blog, whatever niche your blog may belong to.

So you have read a lot about Google Adsense and you are looking to sign up for it and start making some money from your blog, but you do not know the things to do before applying for Google Adsense. Do not worry, we at iGau will help you out :)

Not all Adsense applications are reviewed manually, only in rare cases are the Adsense applications reviewed by actual people, usually it is an algorithm that decides whether your blog will get accepted into the Adsense network or not. So it is vital to check all the boxes of prerequisites so that you make sure that you get into to the Adsense program.

Have At-least 10 Unique Blog Posts On Your Blog
First and foremost, before applying for Adsense you need to have some good quality content on your blog.Adsense is not going to accept an empty site with no content, nor will it accept a blog with very less content that lacks in quality.

So make sure you have at-least 10 quality articles on your blog.

By quality, I mean blog posts that you would like to read, blog posts that are convey the complete information and they must be written for readers and not for the search engine bots.If your articles are written for search engine bots, you can be sure that Adsense will classify your blog as a made for Adsense blog, in which case you will never get accepted into the Adsense program.

See how you write great blog posts.

Have An Adsense Privacy Policy
An Adsense privacy policy is a page on your blog where you tell people that you are using Google Adsense ads on your blog and that those ads will collect personal information such as search terms, geographical locations and interests based on which it will serve ads which you might be interested in.

You also need to provide an option for people to opt out of these conditions. You can find out more about Adsense privacy policy.

Without a privacy policy, you can have zero chance of getting accepted into the Adsense program.

Blog Design
The algorithm that decides whether get accepted or not also check for certain elements of your blog design. Here are a few of them -

These are the design elements you need to avoid if you are to get approved by Adsense.
Spammy looking site.
Less content area and more sidebar area.
Too many outgoing links to untrustworthy sites.
Clutter of ads.
Bad navigation.
Clutter of internal links.
No content above the fold.
No about page.
No contact page.
Have a neat and clean blog with a trusty looking homepage and you should be good to go.
Age Of Blog
Google feels that new blogs should not be accepted into the Adsense program because they have not had sufficient time to get established yet, so they have set a time of 6 months minimum domain age to apply for Adsense.

I have personally seen many blogs get into the Adsense program much before this time period but they do take things a little more seriously when the blog being applied is from India and China. This is because these two countries have had a history of spamming Adsense.

Don’t be disheartened if your blog is not of 6 months old yet, if its good enough, its old enough is what I always say, so apply for Adsense either way.

Own Your Own Domain Name
Before blogspot blogs used to be the best way to get approved by Adsense, but these days the rules have become stricter, so it is preferred to have your ow domain name.

For example these blogs will have a harder time of getting approved.

Give Correct Information While Signing Up
Make sure you provide all perfect and correct information to Adsense while signing up as they will cross check all the details and only then will they approve.

Also make sure your payee name is perfectly the way you want it as you cannot change the payee name later ( in India). This is so as all the checks will be sent in that name and you do not want a wrong name on the check.

Apply! :D  :D
You have now checked all the boxes of the things to do before signing up for Adsense, you can rest assured that your application for Adsense will be approved.

Conclusion Of Your Adsense Approval :)
