A mall in Thailand has been taken over by fish. Bangkok’s New World Mall was shut down in 1997, and then in 1999 a fire left the 4-story building without a roof. The roofless mall accumulated years and years of rainfall, which flooded the basement and lower floors, which in turn created a horrendous breeding ground for mosquitoes. So, the mall's neighbors threw some fish into the pond to eat the mosquitoes. Now, thousands of koi and tilapia populate the 1,600 square-foot pond. It's quite the oddity to behold.
